Inter Milan has officially completed the transfer of Franco Ezequiel Carboni to Parma. However, the club has issued a clear directive regarding Thomas Berenbruch’s future, stating that any potential move will either be a loan or include a buy-back clause.
As part of their efforts to generate funds, Inter has finalized the sale of Carboni to Parma. The young player had made a positive impression during his six-month loan spell at the Stadio Tardini, leading to Parma’s decision to acquire him permanently with a contract running until June 2030.
Carboni, who previously played for Club Atletico Lanus and Catania, joined Inter in January 2020 and has had several loan experiences in Italy, including stints at Cagliari and Empoli.
Carboni Sold, but Inter Retains Control Over Berenbruch

It appears that current youth player Berenbruch may follow a similar path. His agent was present at the club’s headquarters for a meeting today.
However, sources indicate that Inter intends to retain control of Berenbruch for the foreseeable future. Consequently, any transfer agreement will necessitate a loan arrangement or include a buy-back option for the club.
This situation mirrors the one involving Aleksandar Stankovic, who was loaned to Club Brugge last summer before being recalled to San Siro.
Berenbruch, who celebrated his 21st birthday in May, has been part of the Nerazzurri’s youth academy since 2020 and was promoted to the Under-23 team in Serie C last season.
Cagliari is currently considered the leading contender to secure his services.
