Juventus has finalized the acquisition of Jeff Ekhator from Genoa, with the transfer fee set at €16 million, potentially increasing with bonuses. This move comes just weeks after the 19-year-old forward made his debut for the Italian senior national team.
Intense negotiations over the past two days have culminated in the completion of the deal this evening. Juventus, being a publicly traded company, has disclosed the precise financial terms of the transfer to ensure transparency.
The club’s official statement confirmed the details of the agreement:
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement with Genoa CFC has been reached for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Jeff Osayuki Ekhator. The consideration is €16 million, payable over three financial years, with additional ancillary costs not exceeding €0.4 million.
“Furthermore, bonuses of up to €2 million are foreseen, contingent upon the achievement of specific performance objectives.
“Juventus and the player have entered into an employment contract valid until June 30, 2031.”
Ekhator, a product of Genoa’s youth academy, rose through the ranks to become a regular in the senior squad in the summer of 2024. Born in Genoa with Nigerian heritage, he has consistently represented Italy at international levels, earning his first senior cap in June 2026.
The young striker, who will turn 20 in November, has already amassed 54 Serie A appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist. This landmark deal is the first major signing orchestrated by the new Juventus director, Giovanni Carnevali.
