Michele Di Gregorio’s agent has expressed strong disapproval of Juventus’ transfer decisions, calling the club’s striker acquisitions “terrible” and demanding that the management show “respect” for his client. The agent, Carlo Alberto Belloni, stated, “They spend €130 million for 3 terrible strikers, then shift the blame onto the goalkeeper.”
It’s widely known that Juventus is in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer. This past season, Di Gregorio experienced periods where he was benched in favor of Mattia Perin during spells of poor form.
However, Belloni is not accepting this situation passively and has launched a fierce attack on those involved in the club’s transfer dealings. He particularly criticized former CEO Damien Comolli, who was replaced by Giovanni Carnevali last month.
Di Gregorio’s Agent Attributes Juventus’ ‘Failure’ to Poor Management
“Look at the numbers: 20 new players in two seasons, 3 coaches in 2 seasons, 3 sets of directors in 2 seasons. These are the figures that truly matter,” Belloni wrote on the Instagram Stories account of his agency, CA Sport Management.
He continued, highlighting Di Gregorio’s performance: “Di Gregorio finished fourth in Sofascore stats, ahead of Milinkovic-Savic and Sommer, who were second and first in the Serie A table. The French directors spent €130 million on 3 strikers, who are terrible. To justify this excessive expenditure, they are shifting all the blame for their failures onto the goalkeeper, who was acquired by the previous sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, as the best goalkeeper in Serie A at age 26.”
Belloni also pointed to statistics to support his argument: “Goals conceded by Juventus: 34, Inter: 35. Goals scored by Juventus: 61, Inter: 82. The rest is just empty talk.”
Di Gregorio’s agent further elaborated on the behind-the-scenes dynamics at Juventus and the outlook for the future. “Di Gregorio has three years left on his contract with Juventus. He will participate in the pre-season training camp, and we will explore available opportunities during the transfer window,” he stated.
“He is on the shortlist of several European clubs, so we are in no hurry. We demand respect for someone who has always given his all, even when it would have been easier to stay on the bench and just talk…”
