Juventus Concludes Pre-Season Tour with a 2-0 Victory Over Palermo

Juventus wrapped up their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia with a solid 2-0 win against Serie B side Palermo. The victory was sealed by goals from promising talent Kenan Yildiz and a rare, confidence-boosting strike from Arkadiusz Milik.

Following earlier pre-season matches, including a win against Chelsea in Hong Kong and a previous loss to Inter in Perth, Juventus finished their Australian leg on a high note against Palermo. The team showcased a strong lineup, featuring new signings Kerim Alajbegovic and Randal Kolo Muani, alongside Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao in attack. Weston McKennie and Douglas Luiz anchored the midfield.

Early in the match, Francisco Conceicao posed a threat with a curling shot from the edge of the box. Kenan Yildiz also came close shortly after, his volley hitting the side netting.

The breakthrough came just before halftime. Zeki Celik's shot was parried by Palermo goalkeeper Jesse Joronen, but Celik managed to retrieve the rebound and set up Kenan Yildiz, who calmly slotted the ball home from close range.

In the second half, manager Luciano Spalletti introduced fresh legs, with Manuel Locatelli and Edon Zhegrova coming on. Zhegrova quickly made an impact with a key pass to Celik, who then found Kolo Muani, but Joronen was once again quick to deny the chance.

Later in the game, further substitutions were made, including the introduction of Arkadiusz Milik. The Polish striker, who hadn't scored in a competitive fixture since 2024, found the back of the net in the closing minutes. Milik won the ball in midfield, drove into the penalty area, and finished coolly past the goalkeeper to double Juventus's lead.

This match marked Juventus's second-to-last friendly before the Serie A season begins. Their final pre-season engagement will be an internal match against the Next Gen squad at the Allianz Stadium on August 17.
