Rafael Leao Names Two Favourite Premier League Clubs as Milan Exit Speculation Intensifies

Rafael Leao appears to be on the verge of leaving AC Milan, particularly after the team’s failure to secure a spot in the 2026-27 Champions League. The Portuguese international has now disclosed which Premier League teams are his preferred choices heading into the summer transfer window.

Leao Admits Preference for Manchester United and Arsenal

A former Scudetto and Serie A MVP winner, Leao has netted 80 competitive goals during his seven seasons with the Rossoneri. However, following a challenging 2025-26 campaign where he and his teammates missed out on Champions League qualification despite spending a significant portion of the season in second place, his departure seems increasingly probable.

There have been reports suggesting interest from clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, and even Barcelona for a summer deal should Leao become available. Recent claims indicate that he has no interest in moving to Galatasaray or Fenerbahce, nor to the Saudi Pro League, despite rumoured interest from there.

While speculation surrounding Leao’s future continues, the forward recently sat down for an interview with the Cernucci Podcast and discussed his favoured Premier League sides.

When asked if he follows the Premier League closely, he replied, “Yeah of course.”

When questioned about his favourite teams, Leao chuckled before responding: “I like (Manchester) United because my idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, so back then, I used to watch them.”

He added: “I like Arsenal also.”

The full interview is scheduled for release on Sunday.
