Napoli has emerged as the frontrunner to acquire Genoa’s right-back, Brooke Norton-Cuffy. The English defender is a primary target for incoming coach Massimiliano Allegri, who aims to bolster the right flank ahead of the upcoming season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Napoli has made significant progress in their pursuit of Norton-Cuffy, who has also garnered interest from Fiorentina.
The wing-back’s performance has seen a notable improvement over the course of the season, capturing the attention of several Serie A clubs. This has led Genoa to place an estimated valuation of €18-20 million on the player.
Norton-Cuffy, a product of Arsenal’s academy, has since established himself at Genoa as one of Serie A’s more talented young full-backs.
His dynamism, direct attacking style, and contributions at both ends of the pitch align with Allegri’s preferred profile for a wide defensive player.
Genoa is open to a sale, but only on a permanent basis, meaning any interested club must meet their asking price without seeking a loan arrangement.
