Club Brugge defender Joel Ordóñez, previously linked with Inter Milan, is now reportedly the subject of a significant €40 million agreement with Juventus, according to ESPN.
The young center-back, who recently turned 22, is under contract with Club Brugge until June 2029, but his departure this summer has been widely anticipated.
While Inter Milan had long monitored his progress, Juventus appears to have moved decisively to secure the player’s signature with a pre-arranged deal.
Ordóñez Poised for Juventus Move

Jorge Barril, an ESPN commentator in Ecuador, indicated during the Milan vs. Juventus match that the Turin club has reached an agreement in principle with both Club Brugge and the player for a transfer valued at €40 million.
It is understood that the final details of the transfer will be finalized following the upcoming World Cup, where Ordóñez is expected to represent Ecuador.
Ordóñez has already amassed 16 senior international caps for Ecuador and is slated to participate in the World Cup tournament hosted across the USA, Mexico, and Canada this summer.
In the past, both AC Milan and Atalanta had expressed interest in Ordóñez. Club Brugge notably rejected a bid from Olympique Marseille last year, but it now seems Juventus has outmaneuvered all other suitors for the defender.
