Paris Saint-Germain is making a strong move to secure Parma's goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, reportedly submitting a formal offer that puts them ahead of Juventus in the pursuit of the Japanese international.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the French champions have lodged an official €33 million bid with Parma for the goalkeeper. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms that this proposal places PSG in front of Juventus, who had been evaluating their own list of goalkeeper targets.

PSG Surges Ahead of Juventus in Suzuki Transfer Race

Suzuki, who was born in New York and is now the starting goalkeeper for Japan, has become a prominent talent in Serie A since joining Parma. He has accumulated 57 top-flight appearances for the club and earned 28 international caps.

His current contract with Parma at the Stadio Tardini extends until 2029. The club had been anticipating offers in the vicinity of €30 million for the player.

The interest from PSG raises some questions, given that Matvey Safonov is their established first-choice goalkeeper and the club made a significant investment in Lucas Chevalier just last summer. Earlier reports indicated that the Ligue 1 side might even consider signing Suzuki and immediately loaning him back to Parma to ensure he receives consistent playing time.

For Juventus, the immediate concern is the potential loss of a target they had hoped to acquire, with little prior warning.
