Luis Milla, a player for Como, has stated that the team has diligently prepared for their significant Champions League debut against RB Leipzig this evening. The match is scheduled to commence at 20:00 UK time (21:00 CEST) at the Stadio Sinigaglia.

This marks a historic occasion for Como, as it's their first-ever Champions League fixture. The club has experienced a remarkable rise, having been in Serie B just over two years ago and securing a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season. Their current season has also started positively, with recent victories against Napoli and Genoa, though facing RB Leipzig represents a considerable challenge.

Milla Highlights Team's Dedication

"We have worked assiduously to ensure our readiness, and such dedication brings us closer to achieving our objectives," Milla shared with Sky Sport Italia. He described the squad as young but well-organized and emphasized his desire to contribute to the club's continued growth and pursuit of positive results.

The only player unavailable due to injury is Jayden Addai. Maxence Caqueret and Edoardo Goldaniga were not included in the UEFA squad list. Following a summer of significant investment and squad changes, manager Cesc Fabregas is working to integrate new acquisitions with the existing players who were instrumental in reaching this stage.

Milla is one of three new players set to feature in the starting lineup, alongside Trevoh Chalobah and Yan Couto.
