Roma Nearing Contract Agreement with Paulo Dybala

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paulo Dybala and AS Roma are on the verge of finalizing a new contract that would see the Argentine forward commit to the club until June 2027.

The influential forward is widely expected to continue his spell at the Stadio Olimpico for at least another season, with a contract renewal until mid-2027 reportedly in the works.

Dybala’s Extended Roma Deal: Latest Developments

With Dybala’s current agreement set to expire on June 30, negotiations for an extension between both parties resumed several weeks ago. Hopes are high that a deal will be struck in the immediate future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that while Dybala has already returned to Argentina following the conclusion of the season, his representative, Carlos Novel, remains in Rome to facilitate ongoing discussions with the Giallorossi hierarchy.

Ryan Friedkin is anticipated to return to the Italian capital shortly for crucial meetings with Dybala’s agent.

Sources suggest that Roma and Dybala have been discussing a one-year contract extension, with proposed wages ranging from €2 million to €2.5 million annually, in addition to performance-based bonuses.

Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini has expressed his strong belief that Dybala will continue in the capital for another season, contributing to the team’s campaign in the Champions League during the 2026-27 season.

“I believe he will stay, and I’ve never doubted it,” Gasperini stated following their 2-0 victory over Verona on Sunday.

“We faced difficulties because we were without him for three months, and it wasn’t entirely within his control. I managed to connect him with the Friedkins, and that’s all I can do.”
