Kenan Yildiz has affirmed his deep connection to Juventus, stating, “I have Juve in my heart,” following the signing of an extended contract. The young Turkish talent also revealed that he has encouraged teammate Dusan Vlahovic to remain with the club, though acknowledging the decision is not his to make.
Having joined Juventus’s NextGen youth team as a free agent in 2022, Yildiz has rapidly become a pivotal player for the Bianconeri. He now proudly dons the iconic Number 10 jersey, a legacy previously held by his idol, Alessandro Del Piero. His commitment to the club was further solidified with a new deal that will keep him at Juventus until June 2030.
Yildiz Committed to Juventus’s Future
“I have Juve in my heart, and I thank Elkann for his kind words about me,” Yildiz shared with reporters during the presentation of the new 2026-27 Juventus jersey. He was referencing John Elkann, the heir to the Agnelli family’s fortune and the head of the club’s parent company, Exor.
Despite ongoing speculation from international media about potential interest from clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, Yildiz’s focus remains solely on “The Old Lady.”
“I am very happy at this club. We want to repay all the affection shown to us by these fans,” he stated emphatically.
Regarding the future of his teammate Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract is set to expire on June 30, Yildiz was asked if he had urged the Serbian striker to sign a new deal. “Of course I did, but that isn’t up to me…” he replied, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding Vlahovic’s situation.
Juventus has recently climbed to third place in the league standings, just two points behind second-placed Napoli with two rounds remaining. Yildiz emphasized the team’s ambition: “We must always aim for the maximum result. There is pressure from outside, but we are focused only on doing our best with the coach. The objective is always to do the best, so that means going into the Champions League, targeting second place.”
