Inter’s Jubilant Scenes: Thuram and Calhanoglu Lead Celebrations After 3-2 Comeback Win

Following Inter’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Como in the Coppa Italia semi-final, post-match interviews proved a challenge for reporters as Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu were too caught up in the team’s jubilant atmosphere at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri were in high spirits after overcoming a 2-0 deficit to secure their spot in the Coppa Italia Final. Hakan Calhanoglu was instrumental, netting twice and providing an assist for Petar Sucic, which sealed the comeback after goals from Martin Baturina and Lucas Da Cunha had initially put Como ahead.

Unstoppable Thuram Joins the Roaring Inter Fans

Thuram made reporters wait as he repeatedly rejoined the Inter supporters, enthusiastically singing and jumping in front of the Curva Nord. A breathless Thuram eventually managed a few words, stating, “Sorry, they called me! It’s a fantastic game, all of it fantastic!” before returning to the fan celebrations.

He added, “It would be wonderful to win two trophies; we are giving everything and want to give this joy to the fans.”

With Thuram once again immersed in the atmosphere under the Curva Nord, the reporter turned to Calhanoglu. The midfielder, who scored a rare header, commented, “I scored with my head in Germany, but yes, I was a bit lucky, and I’m happy we managed to turn the game around.” He tried to maintain composure despite Thuram’s repeated dashes back to the fans.

Calhanoglu acknowledged the difficulty of the match, stating, “We already knew it would be difficult against Como; they really know how to play football, but we had a really good second half.”

Inter is now on course for a potential Double, a feat they have only achieved once before in the 2010 season under Jose Mourinho.

“What we want is to keep going all the way in these two tournaments. We are happy to be in the Final, and now there are important games in Serie A, and we want to get it done as soon as possible,” concluded Calhanoglu.
