Troon Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Bobby Jones Links
In a significant move within the golf and hospitality sector for 2026, Troon, a premier provider of golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, has successfully acquired Bobby Jones Links, a prominent club management company based in Atlanta.
Established in 2000 with just two clubs, Bobby Jones Links has grown to manage 34 facilities across 13 states. Following the acquisition, Bobby Jones Links will continue to operate under its own established brand, while benefiting from the extensive support and resources of the broader Troon organization.
The co-founders of Bobby Jones Links, Whitney Crouse and Steve Willy, will remain in their leadership positions as CEO and COO, respectively. Troon's integration will provide enhanced expertise, resources, and marketing capabilities, allowing Bobby Jones Links to further elevate its service offerings to clients and deepen its impact within the industry.
Bobby Jones Links will maintain its operational base at its Club Support Center in Atlanta. Members and guests at facilities managed by Bobby Jones Links can expect a continued high standard of service, course maintenance, and dining experiences.
"Steve Willy and I are passionate about this industry and deeply invested in our company. Over the past 26 years, we have consistently strived for improvement, bringing on talented individuals to better serve our clients and our team," stated Crouse. "We are incredibly excited to become part of the Troon family. Bobby Jones Links, empowered by Troon, will present a formidable offering, enabling us to make an even greater positive impact on those we serve."
This acquisition not only broadens Troon's geographical reach into key markets but also integrates valuable talent and resources, enhancing Troon's capacity to assist its existing clients in achieving success in the competitive landscape of golf and club operations.
"We are delighted to welcome Bobby Jones Links into the Troon family," commented Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz. "Whitney and Steve are exceptional leaders with significant influence in the industry. They have built an outstanding company that we have long admired, supported by a remarkable team of professionals both at their corporate office and in the field. We are fully committed to ensuring the continued prosperity of the Bobby Jones Links brand."
Founded in 1990, Troon is recognized as the world's largest golf and golf-related hospitality management company. It operates at over 45 states and more than 40 countries worldwide.
