Gila’s Agent Denies Milan or Juventus Agreement: ‘If You Want Him, Talk to Lazio’

The representative for Mario Gila has denied any agreements with clubs such as Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, or Napoli. He stated, “If someone wants him, they need to speak with Lazio.”

The central defender has demonstrated remarkable performances in recent seasons. Given that his current contract with Lazio extends until June 2027, a transfer this summer would be necessary to prevent his departure as a free agent. Gila will turn 26 in August, and while Milan has been the most frequently mentioned suitor, there is also reported interest from Real Madrid, Juventus, Napoli, and Inter.

Gila’s Current Focus is Solely on Lazio

Amidst reports suggesting that Gila had already reached personal terms with AC Milan, his agent, Alejandro Camano, was contacted by Pianeta Milan. Camano responded, “Mario still has a year remaining on his contract with Lazio.” He further elaborated, “With all due respect to everyone’s efforts, none of what has been reported is accurate. Milan is a highly esteemed club, and I am genuinely pleased that one of my clients is being linked with one of the world’s most prominent teams.

“This fills me with pride, but I must show respect to Lazio during this critical juncture of the season. Lazio is heading into a Coppa Italia Final against Inter, a trophy within reach. Therefore, I am not in discussions with Milan, Juventus, or any other club. Should any club be interested in Gila, they must engage in dialogue with Lazio, who holds his contract. My role is solely that of the player’s agent.”

It has been suggested that Gila would specifically favor a move to Milan to work under coach Max Allegri. Camano commented on this, “Allegri is recognized as one of the finest coaches globally; we are all aware of his capabilities. However, the most significant figure at this moment is Maurizio Sarri, as he is Gila’s current coach at Lazio.” He added, “We hold Sarri in high regard as one of the best in the world, given his position at Lazio.”

Gila has garnered attention not only from Milan and Juventus but also from Real Madrid, Napoli, and Inter, with an estimated transfer valuation of €25 million. Camano reiterated, “I repeat, I respect all parties involved, but Gila is a Lazio player. Mario’s contract runs until 2027, the Coppa Italia Final is approaching, he is proud to play for Lazio, and that is our sole focus for discussion at present.”
