Gasly Leads Alpine Midfield, Bortoleto in Top 10, Lindblad a Surprise at Japanese GP Qualifiers

In the qualifying session for the Japanese Grand Prix, the third event of the season, the established hierarchies from earlier rounds were largely reaffirmed. Mercedes proved dominant at the front, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli securing the fastest lap at 1:28.778, closely followed by his teammate George Russell. Behind the leading pair, the competition tightened significantly. Pierre Gasly notably led the midfield pack for Alpine, while Bortoleto impressed by claiming a spot within the top 10. The session also saw a pleasant surprise in the form of Lindblad’s strong performance.
