Como has officially confirmed the acquisition of Brazilian wing-back Yan Couto. The player will join the Italian club on loan from Borussia Dortmund for the 2026-27 season. Reports suggest that Como will pay a €2 million fee for the loan spell, which also includes a €20 million option to purchase the player permanently. Couto originally moved to Dortmund permanently from Manchester City in 2024 for €30 million.

"I am very pleased to be here. I truly appreciate the team's playing style and its philosophy, and I am confident I can contribute to their continued improvement. I view this as a significant step in my career and eagerly anticipate starting," stated Couto via the club's official website.

Como's head coach, Cesc Fabregas, commented on the signing: "Yan is a courageous and technically gifted player who offers us versatility on the right flank. He possesses an attacking mindset, abundant energy, and aligns perfectly with our desired approach. Despite his youth, he already possesses considerable experience, and we believe he has the potential for further growth with us."

Couto is Como's fourth acquisition of the current summer transfer window, following the earlier arrivals of Kaiki, Mattia Liberali, Luis Milla, and Andres Cuenca.

During his two-year tenure at Borussia Dortmund, Couto amassed 40 Bundesliga appearances and an additional 15 in the Champions League. He has also earned four caps for the Brazil national team, all of which occurred during the 2023-24 season.
