The future of Dusan Vlahovic beyond the 2026-27 season remains uncertain, as contract extension discussions with his current club, Juventus, have reportedly hit an impasse. Reports indicate that a disagreement over signing bonuses is the primary obstacle preventing a new agreement.
Current Stalemate in Juventus and Vlahovic Contract Negotiations
With just over a month left on his current Juventus contract, set to expire on June 30, Vlahovic, who is currently the highest-paid player in Serie A, faces a crucial juncture. While Juventus is keen to retain the services of their centre-forward, they acknowledge the necessity of him accepting a considerable salary reduction.
Negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks, but a final agreement has yet to be reached.
According to recent updates from Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic and his representatives are open to the possibility of accepting a lower salary to remain with Juventus, potentially in the region of €6 million per season plus bonuses. This represents a significant decrease from his current estimated annual net earnings of around €12 million.
However, a report from Friday indicates a substantial gap between the two parties regarding signing bonuses. Vlahovic and his team are reportedly requesting a lump sum of approximately €8 million, whereas Juventus is said to be willing to offer €3 million.
Meanwhile, several other prominent European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea, have been rumored to be interested in acquiring Vlahovic on a free transfer.
