Dimarco dedicates Inter’s title to ‘those who said I was finished’

Inter Milan player Federico Dimarco has expressed that the 2025-26 Serie A title holds significant meaning, especially after the team’s previous season’s disappointments. He has dedicated the Scudetto to “those who said I was finished.”

Inter Milan is celebrating their 21st Serie A championship, marking their second title in the past three years. This victory is particularly noteworthy as it is the first Scudetto for manager Cristian Chivu, making him the first foreign coach to achieve this feat in Serie A since José Mourinho in 2010.

Dimarco has been a standout performer throughout the season, contributing to 25 goals across all competitions. He shared his elation with InterTV, stating, “It’s an amazing feeling. To see Milan coloured in black and blue is special.”

He further elaborated on the significance of the win, describing it as “a restart after the bad disappointments of last season. We have restarted with the team and staff members. We have worked hard and crowned the dream of the 21st Scudetto.”

Dimarco highlighted the team’s unity, especially during challenging periods: “We are a united team, and we were united in difficult moments too, when we were being beaten from every direction. We always showed up, and now we enjoy this title. It means so much after what happened last year. I dedicate it to all the people who are close to me, especially those who said I was finished at the end of last season.”

Following the triumph, Dimarco was among the Inter stars who joined supporters in Piazza Duomo to celebrate the historic achievement. Inter secured the Scudetto with three games remaining, having recorded 26 victories in 35 league matches this season. Their decisive victory came against Cagliari, with goals from Marcus Thuram and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, securing the point needed to clinch the title.
