Allegri Discusses Jashari’s Future and Yildiz’s Potential

Massimiliano Allegri has stated that Ardon Jashari is set to be a “significant player for Milan’s future.” He also commended Juventus for their effective youth development programs, specifically mentioning Kenan Yildiz and his potential for continued growth.

The upcoming match between Milan and Juventus at San Siro on Sunday, April 26, is a key fixture in Serie A’s 34th round.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Allegri, a former Juventus coach and a multiple Serie A winner with the club, previewed the highly anticipated game.

“Football is unpredictable. Who knows. Perhaps there will be an early goal, and the game will open up quickly,” Allegri remarked, as reported by MilanNews.

“It remains a Milan versus Juventus encounter, one of the most significant matches of the season, occurring at a time when both teams are vying for a top-four finish. Spalletti’s arrival has provided them with an added boost, and they are having an excellent season.

“Juventus are performing exceptionally well in terms of their playing style and defensive solidity,” Allegri continued.

“I believe they haven’t conceded in their last three matches. I hope they concede tomorrow. For now, we shouldn’t focus on individual defenders, strikers, or midfielders. Our focus must be on the final outcome; everything else is secondary.”

Juventus’ promising player, Yildiz, made his Serie A debut with the Bianconeri under Allegri in 2023.

“He possesses considerable qualities. It’s not as if I discovered him,” Allegri commented.

“At that time, Juventus did an outstanding job, from the youth academy to the reserve team, successfully integrating valuable players into the first team. This success stems from the diligent work being done at the lower levels. I believe Yildiz has substantial room for further improvement.”

Milan’s midfielder, Jashari, has been rumored to be a transfer target for Juventus, having had limited playing time at San Siro during the 2025-26 season.

The Swiss midfielder unfortunately suffered a severe fibula injury during one of his initial training sessions with the Rossoneri last summer, which significantly impacted his entire campaign.

“The club made a substantial investment in a player of great quality. He experienced an injury, made a comeback, and subsequently had reduced playing time,” Allegri explained.

“However, this does not diminish his ability; he hasn’t suddenly become a lesser player. He has faced certain challenges, but he possesses immense potential. He will undoubtedly be an important player for Milan in the future, much like De Winter, who has developed significantly, and Athekame, who has also shown considerable growth. The club has successfully integrated experienced players with younger talent that requires time to mature. Naturally, there is always scope for further development.”

Only three points separate Milan and Juventus in the Serie A standings, with Juventus currently in fourth place and Milan in third.
