Juventus has reignited their interest in Lecce’s promising defender, Tiago Gabriel, initiating new discussions as they consider strengthening their backline. However, the Portuguese center-back is not currently at the top of Juventus’s transfer agenda.
The club’s immediate priorities lie in securing a new goalkeeper, with ongoing negotiations for Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa, and a striker, with efforts focused on a deal for Randal Kolo Muani from PSG. A central midfielder is also a target, while the defense may require reinforcement due to potential player departures, such as Federico Gatti.
Tiago Gabriel is one of three defensive targets for Juventus, alongside Tarik Muharemovic and Jhon Lucumí. The Italian club has previously engaged with Gabriel’s representatives, with initial talks held in January and a commitment to revisit the matter in the summer.
The 21-year-old defender is attracting significant attention from both Italian and international clubs. Lecce is reportedly valuing him in the region of €35-40 million, recognizing his talent and aiming for a substantial profit after acquiring him for approximately €1 million from Estrela Amadora in January 2025.
Rival clubs such as Milan and Inter are also keen on Tiago Gabriel. Furthermore, Premier League side Bournemouth is closely monitoring both Gabriel and Muharemovic. Lecce previously rejected offers in the region of €25 million from English clubs in January.
