According to reports on Wednesday, Juventus are finding a deal for Liverpool’s Alisson Becker increasingly difficult. As a result, the Italian club might turn their attention to Fiorentina and former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Juventus is anticipated to make changes to their goalkeeping roster during the summer transfer window, with either Mattia Perin or Michele Di Gregorio likely to depart.
For several weeks, Juventus has been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Alisson. The Brazilian goalkeeper is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield this summer and could be allowed to leave under the right circumstances.
However, Alisson’s current wages, reportedly around €8 million per season plus bonuses, would make him one of the highest earners at Juventus. This figure does not include a potential transfer fee, which Tuttosport suggests could be around €15 million, plus additional signing-on bonuses.
In contrast, Fiorentina’s De Gea presents a more financially viable alternative. He reportedly earns €3.5 million per season in Tuscany, and Fiorentina is rumored to be considering his sale to help manage their own wage bill.
Tuttosport claims that Fiorentina might entertain offers in the region of €10 million for the Spanish goalkeeper. De Gea has made 68 Serie A appearances over the past two seasons and was a four-time winner of Manchester United’s player of the year award.
Could Juventus make a move for De Gea?
Juventus appears to be exploring alternatives for their goalkeeping position, with David De Gea emerging as a potential target as negotiations for Alisson Becker become more challenging.
