Tottenham Goalkeeper Vicario Dines with Inter & Juventus Players, Fueling Transfer Rumors
Italy's national team players enjoyed a relaxed Friday evening. Among them was Guglielmo Vicario, a goalkeeper from Tottenham and a reported Inter target, who, despite recently undergoing surgery, joined his teammates and was seen dining with four prominent Inter stars.
Following a day of training at Coverciano and a 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland in the World Cup play-off semi-final, Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso granted his squad a Friday evening break.
A contingent of Azzurri players, featuring Inter's Federico Dimarco, Nicolò Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and Francesco Pio Esposito, chose to dine at a local restaurant not far from the national team's training base.
Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli and Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were also present at the dinner, posing for photographs with the restaurant owner, which were subsequently shared on social media.
For several weeks, reports have consistently linked Vicario as Inter's primary goalkeeping target for the upcoming season. This public dinner with key Nerazzurri players has understandably intensified transfer speculation across Italy.
It was also reported earlier this month that even Juventus had initiated preliminary discussions with the goalkeeper's representatives.
Although Vicario recently underwent hernia surgery, rendering him unavailable for the World Cup play-off, he still joined his national teammates at Coverciano last week.
