Ruben Amorim Officially Joins AC Milan as Head Coach, Poses with Owner Gerry Cardinale
Ruben Amorim has made his way to Milan's training facilities and has been photographed alongside owner Gerry Cardinale, signaling the commencement of his new role as the head coach of the Rossoneri.
Amorim was officially appointed as the new head coach of Milan on a two-year contract in mid-June. He succeeds Massimiliano Allegri, who was dismissed following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, along with sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, and CEO Giorgio Furlani.
Arriving in Italy on Monday, Amorim spent his first afternoon at Milanello, the club's training complex, on Tuesday.
He was seen arriving at the training ground with Cardinale on Tuesday afternoon. The two posed for a series of pictures for the press outside the facility's entrance before proceeding inside to begin preparations for the 2026-27 season.
"I am extremely happy to be here; it's an honor to coach Milan," Amorim stated in an interview after his arrival in Italy on Monday.
"It's a significant challenge. After my previous role, I had intended to take on a less demanding position, but I'm here, and this challenge is even greater. I am truly proud to be here and eager to work with my players and staff. I am genuinely delighted to be at Milan. Winning with Milan? Absolutely. If you aim to be Milan's coach, you must strive for victory."
