Roma Talent Bah Out for 9 Months After Another Devastating Injury
Roma midfielder Muhammed Bah will be sidelined for approximately nine months after undergoing knee surgery. The young player was stretchered off during a friendly match where Roma suffered a 4-1 defeat to Cardiff City.
Concerns were immediately raised when Bah collapsed on the field in the first half of the match played in Wales on Saturday. He was visibly distressed and left the pitch in tears on a stretcher, indicating the severity of the injury.
This setback is particularly devastating for Bah, who had previously suffered a similar injury in January 2024. That incident, a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, kept him out of action for nearly a year.
Tragically, the 19-year-old has received the same diagnosis, this time affecting his right knee. He is scheduled to undergo surgery performed by Dr. Georg Ahlbaumer and is expected to be out of commission for at least nine months.
This is a significant blow to the promising career of the young Roma player, especially as it comes just a couple of months after he extended his contract with the club until June 2028.
