Roma Finalizes €16.5 Million Deal for Koulierakis from Wolfsburg with Bonus Clauses
Konstantinos Koulierakis has officially transferred to AS Roma from Wolfsburg. The reported transfer fee stands at €16.5 million, with additional performance-related bonuses and a 20% sell-on clause included in the deal. The Greek international has committed to a five-year contract with the Giallorossi after successfully completing his medical examinations.
Sources indicate that the total cost of the transfer amounts to €16.5 million, with €1.5 million in add-ons and a provision for Roma to receive 20% of any future sale fee. Koulierakis will don the number 33 jersey for the Roman club.
Koulierakis Bolsters Roma's Defensive Lineup
The 22-year-old defender made his senior debut for Greece in 2022 and has since accumulated 22 international caps. Koulierakis is a product of the PAOK Salonika youth academy and moved to Wolfsburg in 2024 for an estimated €11.75 million.
Despite interest from other clubs, including Crystal Palace and Benfica, Roma successfully secured the transfer this evening to strengthen their defensive options. He is anticipated to serve as a backup to Mario Hermoso rather than an immediate starter.
Welcome to Roma, Konstantinos!
