Oulai: Fiorentina is the Perfect Environment for Young Player Development

Christ Inao Oulai has voiced his strong conviction that Fiorentina is an ideal destination for him, emphasizing the club's proven track record in fostering the growth of young players. He expressed his enthusiastic acceptance of the opportunity to join from Trabzonspor.

The Ivory Coast international, who participated in the 2026 World Cup held across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, subsequently finalized his transfer to Serie A for a reported €26 million plus bonuses.

Oulai shared these sentiments during his official presentation press conference, which took place at the team's training camp in Tuscany.

Oulai's Unhesitating Move to Fiorentina

The 20-year-old stated, "The project at Fiorentina is perfect for me because the club excels at developing young players. I seized the opportunity to join this club without hesitation."

"My objective here is to learn and evolve into a better player. My life has undergone significant transformations over the past year. I am proud of my journey and genuinely delighted to have become a part of Fiorentina."

Under the guidance of new coach Fabio Grosso, the squad has undergone a considerable overhaul. Oulai's arrival is part of a series of significant investments, with Arthur Atta also joining from Udinese.

"We are a young group, and we are excited to work collaboratively. I am committed to giving my absolute best to support the team and will diligently strive to implement the coach's instructions in every training session and match.

"I've been particularly impressed by Atta's talent and skill; he is a very gifted player."

When asked about inspirations from his nation's footballing history, Oulai readily identified a legendary figure. "I admire many great players, but Yaya Toure has always been a significant idol for me."

This year marks Fiorentina's centenary, and the club is determined to improve upon last season's performance, where they narrowly avoided relegation.

"We will approach every game with 100% effort, playing with tenacity and determination to achieve as much as we possibly can," Oulai concluded.
