Napoli and Schalke Finalize Lindstrom Transfer Details
Napoli and Schalke 04 have reached a formal agreement regarding the departure of Jesper Lindstrom. The Danish international is currently in Germany to complete his medical examination in preparation for the move.
According to transfer market sources, including journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer will be a loan deal to Schalke. The agreement includes a €5 million option to purchase the player permanently.
Furthermore, the deal incorporates a series of bonus payments for Napoli. These bonuses will be activated if Schalke, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, secures their position in the top league and if Lindstrom participates in a specified number of matches.
Lindstrom is undergoing his medical in Germany, which is the final step before the official signing and announcement of the transfer.
Schalke, who earned promotion back to the Bundesliga after a three-year hiatus, will be acquiring an attacking player who can effectively play in various forward positions.
For Napoli, this move represents another outgoing transfer as the club works to reduce the squad size under Massimiliano Allegri. Lindstrom's departure not only frees up a roster spot but also provides Napoli with greater financial flexibility to pursue their planned incoming transfers.
