Juventus Secure 2-0 Friendly Win Over Nice with Goals from Douglas Luiz and Justin Oboavwoduo
Juventus emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline in a pre-season friendly against OGC Nice. The Bianconeri's win was powered by goals from new acquisition Douglas Luiz and promising former Manchester City player Justin Oboavwoduo.
The Turin club was still contending with a number of absences due to injuries and players involved in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
New signing Zeki Celik was immediately integrated into the starting lineup at right-back, with Pierre Kalulu positioned on the left flank.
Fabio Miretti narrowly missed the target from a promising position. However, Douglas Luiz opened the scoring by dispossessing a defender in the attacking third, cutting inside, and unleashing a powerful shot into the top of the net from just inside the penalty area.
Joao Mario entered the game at halftime and squandered a clear scoring chance, firing wide. For Nice, an impressive volley from Clauss flew just inches past the post.
The 2-0 victory was cemented when Vasilije Adzic set up Oboavwoduo on the left wing, and the young talent delivered a superb finish into the far corner with the inside of his right boot.
