Frosinone Values Ghedjemis at €15-20m After Rejecting Rangers and Celtic Offers
Italian club Frosinone has reportedly rejected a €10 million offer from Rangers for winger Fares Ghedjemis, an amount that surpassed Celtic's earlier bid.
The Algerian international was a target for Scottish clubs in January, but both he and Frosinone opted to prioritize the club's promotion push from Serie B, which they successfully achieved. Now, as Frosinone prepares for Serie A, the player's transfer value has reportedly doubled.
A bidding war for Ghedjemis between Glasgow rivals Rangers and Celtic had been anticipated. Reports from Sky Sport Italia and Sky Sports Scotland indicate that Celtic initially offered €7 million, with Rangers subsequently increasing their bid to €10 million.
However, neither offer is considered sufficient by Frosinone, who are now demanding €15-20 million for the player. Ghedjemis's stock has risen, particularly after his impressive performances for Algeria at the World Cup.
The right-sided winger, who will turn 24 next month, was instrumental in Frosinone's promotion last season, contributing 15 goals and three assists in 37 Serie B appearances.
