Fiorentina mounted an impressive comeback, fighting back from a two-goal deficit to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw against Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid. Roberto Piccoli and Moise Kean were on target for the Viola, responding to earlier goals from Endrick and Alexis Ciria. Denzel Dumfries featured in the starting lineup for Real Madrid.

This season has seen a significant transformation for Fiorentina, a stark contrast to their near-relegation struggles in the previous term.

Under new coach Fabio Grosso, the team adopted a 4-3-1-2 formation and included four new signings in their starting eleven against Real Madrid. The friendly encounter took place on neutral ground at the Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt.

Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Carreras made a surging run down the left flank, and his low cross was met by Endrick, who controlled the ball, evaded Luca Ranieri, and beat David De Gea.

While former Inter player Dumfries made his full debut for the Spanish giants, it was Eduardo Camavinga who provided the assist for Alexis Ciria's goal, extending Real Madrid's lead to 2-0.

Fiorentina pulled one back when, after De Gea parried an Arda Guler free kick, Roberto Piccoli latched onto a pass from Alex Jimenez and fired an angled shot into the net.

The Viola displayed greater focus in the second half, creating several opportunities through Albert Gudmundsson and Rolando Mandragora.

Substitute Moise Kean found the net just 120 seconds after coming on, heading home Niccolò Fagioli's cross from the left.

Victor Valdepenas, who had just completed his transfer, came on to play against his former club for Fiorentina. The Tuscans are reportedly targeting Franco Mastantuono next.

Kean had a late chance to snatch a winner, but his shot was well saved by Andriy Lunin.
