Endrick: Roma Faces Competition from Aston Villa for Real Madrid Starlet

Roma is encountering heightened competition for Real Madrid's young talent, Endrick. Spanish media reports indicate that Aston Villa has joined the bidding, expressing interest in acquiring the Brazilian international on a loan deal.

Previously, Roma was considered the frontrunner to sign Endrick on loan for the current season, a scenario drawing parallels to Franco Mastantuono's situation at Fiorentina. The Giallorossi were confident that their Champions League participation and assurances of consistent playing time would give them a decisive advantage.

However, the landscape has shifted. According to Diario AS, Aston Villa has now presented a proposal to secure Endrick's services.

The young striker is reportedly open to a loan move, as his previous stint playing for Olympique Lyonnais was instrumental in earning him a place in the 2026 World Cup squad under Carlo Ancelotti. During his time in France, he demonstrated his potential, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in just 21 appearances.

Real Madrid initially purchased Endrick from Palmeiras for €35 million, with an additional €25 million in potential add-ons. His substantial salary of €5 million per season would necessitate Real Madrid covering a portion of it during any loan spell, as it would otherwise be financially unmanageable for clubs like Roma.
