Coppola Seals Permanent €20 Million Move to Paris FC from Brighton
Italy international defender Diego Coppola is set to finalize his transfer to Paris FC from Brighton and Hove Albion. The deal is reportedly valued at €18 million, with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses, fending off interest from Serie A club Lazio.
Despite being linked with a return to Italy, Coppola appears satisfied with his loan spell in France over the past six months and has opted to make his move to Paris FC permanent.
Multiple sources, including Sportitalia and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, confirm that an agreement has been reached between all parties involved for the outright purchase of the player.
The total cost of the operation is expected to be around €18 million, with the possibility of an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
This move represents a substantial profit for Brighton and Hove Albion, who acquired Coppola from Hellas Verona for €11 million in the summer of 2025. During his time with the Seagulls, he made nine appearances, notably contributing two assists from his defensive position.
Coppola has since played 14 matches for Paris FC following his loan move in January 2026. The 22-year-old center-back has earned two senior caps for the Italian national team, both received in June 2025.
