Valentin Vacherot Shares Emotions After Reaching Shanghai Masters Final

Monégasque tennis player Valentin Vacherot, currently ranked 204th in the world, shared his overwhelming emotions after advancing to the final of the Shanghai Masters tournament. In the semi-final, he secured a victory over Serbia`s Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion.

“Honestly, the emotions are just overflowing,” Vacherot confessed. “It took me a little while to compose myself. When I went into the locker room and opened my cabinet, it was incredibly hard to hold back tears, especially with so many messages I received.”

“Right now, I have so many thoughts and words I want to express. It`s simply unbelievable. But tomorrow, another match awaits me.”

“Without a doubt, this is a historic achievement. I believe I`ve probably set new records. This means an enormous amount for both me personally and for my country.”

Commenting on his potential climb to 58th place in the ATP rankings, Vacherot stated: “That`s an impressive result. Originally, I planned to play in Shanghai and then a few Challenger tournaments in Asia, thinking it was quite realistic to break into the top 100 by the end of the season.”
