World No. 56 Jaume Munar of Spain commented on his victory (6-2, 6-3) over world No. 8 Daniil Medvedev of Russia in the second round of the Miami Masters.
"This means a lot. I feel great after all the work I’ve done to be able to compete in such a tournament. I feel very comfortable here, and I’m playing great on hard courts this year. It was a little tense at the end, but I’m happy with my performance."
Munar added, "I’ve changed a lot: technique, tactics. This year everything is working very well. I think I need to continue improving to keep changing things, to see where my game can get better, and I think my team and I are doing that very well."
