Serie A: Como vs. Pisa – Confirmed Lineups

Como has a significant opportunity to move three points clear of both Roma and Juventus in the Serie A top four. They host Pisa in a pivotal match that could greatly impact the race for Champions League qualification spots.

Currently, Como is in excellent form, boasting a four-game winning streak in Serie A and an impressive six-game unbeaten run across all competitions. This period has included tough encounters against top clubs like Milan, Juventus, and Inter. Most recently, they secured a crucial 2-1 victory over direct top-four rivals Roma in a heated clash at the Sinigaglia stadium last weekend.

Following their triumph over Roma and Juventus’s 1-1 draw against Sassuolo on Saturday, Cesc Fabregas’s Como squad now has the chance to establish a three-point cushion in fourth place before the upcoming international break.

In stark contrast, Pisa has endured a difficult league season, managing only two victories in total. However, their most recent win came last weekend with a convincing 3-1 performance against Cagliari. Despite this morale boost, they remain in 19th position with 18 points, nine points adrift of safety with only nine games left to play.

For Sunday’s fixture against Pisa, Fabregas is set to deploy his full attacking prowess, featuring Nico Paz, Assane Diao, Jesus Rodriguez, and Anastasios Douvikas. It’s worth noting that only Paz started in the previous 2-1 victory over Roma. Additionally, Maxi Perrone makes a return to the midfield, partnering with Lucas Da Cunha.

Despite securing his first Serie A victory as Pisa’s manager last weekend, Oscar Hiljemark has implemented several changes to his starting eleven. Rafiu Durosinmi and Michel Aebischer are suspended, while Marius Marin and Arturo Calabresi have been omitted from the squad.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 11:30 GMT.
