Roma’s Injury Problems Intensify with New Setbacks

AS Roma is facing escalating challenges as they prepare for their Serie A fixture against Lecce today, with Zeki Celik and Manu Koné now added to their growing list of unavailable players.

The match is scheduled to commence at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET) at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi’s season appears to be spiraling after a difficult period, marked by their elimination from the Coppa Italia, a meager one point from their last three Serie A encounters dropping them to sixth in the league, and a recent exit from the Europa League at the hands of Bologna.

Thursday’s 4-3 extra-time defeat proved particularly detrimental, as it resulted in two new injuries for the team to manage.

Roma’s Injury Crisis Deepens

Midfielder Manu Koné was forced off the pitch early in that Round of 16 clash and is anticipated to be sidelined for approximately one month.

Adding to the woes, Zeki Celik has been excluded from the squad list for the Lecce match, reportedly suffering from a calf problem, though initial reports suggest no significant lesions.

Roma’s injury list already included key player Paulo Dybala, alongside other sidelined individuals.

Additionally, a player is serving a suspension following a controversial red card in the defeat to Como, though on a positive note, Evan Ndicka is available after completing his ban.
