AS Roma faces a significant setback as key defender Gianluca Mancini is anticipated to miss two to three weeks of play. This follows medical tests revealing a serious injury sustained during their recent 5-2 defeat against Inter Milan.
Mancini was part of the starting lineup at San Siro on Easter Sunday and even managed to score an equalizer. However, he was forced to leave the pitch at halftime, visibly uncomfortable and clutching his upper right thigh.
Injury Confirmed: Adductor Lesion Identified

Subsequent examinations have identified the precise nature of the problem: a lesion in the adductor muscle of his right leg.
According to reports from Italian sports outlets, including Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, this injury is expected to keep Mancini off the field for an estimated two to three weeks.
This timeline means he will miss crucial upcoming matches, including the fixture against Pisa on April 10, Atalanta on April 18, and potentially the away game against Bologna on April 25.
Mancini’s absence is a further blow for the Giallorossi, who are already grappling with a lengthy injury list that includes Wesley, Manu Koné, Paulo Dybala, Artem Dovbyk, and Evan Ferguson.
Their aspirations for securing a Champions League spot took a hit with the recent 5-2 loss to Inter. However, a slight boost came from the fact that fourth-placed Como were held to a 0-0 draw by Udinese today, keeping Roma’s qualification hopes still within reach.
