Novak Djokovic Reaches Miami Final, Matching Federer’s Record

Novak Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov, the world number 15, in the Miami Open semi-final, securing his place in his 60th Masters final and extending his own record. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has also equaled Andre Agassi`s record for the most Miami Open finals, with both legends now holding eight.

At 37 years and 10 months, Djokovic becomes the oldest player to ever reach a Masters final, surpassing Roger Federer`s previous record from 2019 when he reached the Indian Wells final at 37 years and 7 months (losing to Dominic Thiem) and the Miami final (winning against John Isner).

Djokovic has now reached an ATP final in his 20th consecutive season (2006-2025), matching Roger Federer`s record (2000-2019).

This will be Djokovic`s 142nd ATP final overall. He is aiming for his 100th career title and will compete against Taylor Fritz or Jakub Mensik in the final.
