Newcastle & Aston Villa Intensify Pursuit of Inter Star Marcus Thuram

English Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa have reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram, signaling a potential summer transfer. Sources indicate that Thuram favors a move to the Premier League over offers from the Saudi Pro League.

Both clubs have initiated contact regarding the French forward, who is currently in his third season at Inter’s Stadio Meazza.

There are growing suggestions in Italy that both Inter and Thuram himself might be open to a fresh challenge this summer. While Saudi Pro League teams have shown interest, Thuram’s preference leans towards a transfer to England.

This season, Thuram has contributed significantly with 12 goals and five assists across 35 appearances in all competitions. His current contract includes an €85 million release clause. However, the 28-year-old forward has experienced a dip in recent form, scoring only once in his last nine Serie A matches.

Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Thuram remains focused on completing the current season with Inter. A decision regarding his future at the club, where his contract extends until June 2028, is expected after the season concludes.
