Naomi Osaka Assesses Her Potential on Grass

World No. 56 Naomi Osaka of Japan advanced to the second round of the Bad Homburg grass tournament after defeating Olga Danilović of Serbia in her opening match with a score of 7-6(6), 7-6(4).

“This was my first win on grass this year, so I`m very happy,” Osaka stated after the match. “I believe I have potential on grass, but all the other competitors are very good as well.”

She added, “I never take wins for granted. I`m just really happy that I won today.”

Next up for Osaka in Bad Homburg is the American Emma Navarro.
