Milan’s Transfer Hopes for Lewandowski Rise as Barcelona Star’s Intentions Surface

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan’s prospects of signing Robert Lewandowski as a free agent remain high. The Barcelona striker is understood to be looking for a move to a major European club this summer.

Milan is keen on acquiring the Barcelona star Lewandowski on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the current season. While previous Italian media indicated that discussions between the Rossoneri and Lewandowski’s representatives have already commenced, Gazzetta suggests that Milan’s hopes are still alive, despite the player’s significant wage demands.

Lewandowski is reportedly seeking a new challenge at a top European club, a scenario that AC Milan appears poised to offer.

It’s worth noting that Milan recently secured Niclas Fullkrug on a loan deal with an option to buy from West Ham during the January transfer window. However, the German striker has had limited playing time under Massimiliano Allegri, managing only one goal in 15 appearances.

Earlier in March, Sport.es reported that Barcelona is considering offering Lewandowski a one-year contract extension, but the Polish international’s future at the club remains uncertain.
