Formula 1 heads to the United States for the first of three visits in 2025, with the Miami Grand Prix set to host a Sprint weekend.
Coming off the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri currently leads the F1 Drivers` Championship. He holds a 10-point advantage over Lando Norris and is 12 points ahead of Max Verstappen.
Norris returns to the venue where he secured his first career Grand Prix win a year ago, hoping to repeat that success following recent errors. All eyes will be on whether Red Bull can challenge McLaren as they did in Jeddah, or if the Woking-based team can extend their advantage around the Hard Rock Stadium circuit.
Mercedes will be looking for a stronger performance from George Russell, who trails Piastri by 26 points in the standings, and rookie Kimi Antonelli, who faces another new track challenge. Charles Leclerc delivered Ferrari`s first Sunday podium of the season in Saudi Arabia, adding intrigue to his ongoing battle with Lewis Hamilton.
Miami International Autodrome Track
The Miami Grand Prix debuted on the F1 calendar in 2022. The circuit is a purpose-built street track situated around the Hard Rock Stadium, home to the NFL`s Miami Dolphins.
The layout features a high-speed first sector and a lengthy back straight leading into the penultimate corner, offering a prime overtaking opportunity. A notable and challenging element is the Turn 14/15 chicane, which requires drivers to significantly slow down while navigating awkward sausage kerbs.

Miami GP Weather Forecast
While previous Miami Grand Prix sessions have been dry, the weather forecast for 2025 suggests a change, with potential thundery showers predicted for Sunday`s race, scheduled to start at 4pm local time (9pm UK time). Friday and Saturday are expected to remain dry, with temperatures throughout the weekend in the high 20s Celsius.
