Former world number one Martina Navratilova shared her thoughts on the upcoming Wimbledon fourth-round match between Mirra Andreeva and Emma Navarro. This encounter will be the 18-year-old Russian player`s first time competing on the prestigious Centre Court at the British Grand Slam.
Navratilova commented on the potential for nerves. “Perhaps she will be nervous,” she said. “But when you step out there, you get such a wave of inspiration that you start playing even better. That`s how it was for me, and many players I`ve spoken with say the same thing. It`s a mix of various positive emotions,” Navratilova stated during an appearance on Tennis Channel.
