Madison Keys on Queen’s Club and Grass Season Challenge

World number eight Madison Keys, who advanced to the semifinals at the Queen`s Club tournament, spoke about her preparation for the grass court season.

“The transition happened very quickly: I was playing on clay on Wednesday, flying on Thursday, and already on the grass court on Friday. That`s probably the fastest surface change in my career. But I am happy to be in Queen`s. When this tournament was added to the calendar, I immediately wanted to play here. The grass season is always challenging – there aren`t many tournaments, and the competition is extremely high. I was ready for this challenge and decided to start without delay,” Keys commented at a press conference.
