Locatelli Commits to Juventus with New Long-Term Deal

Manuel Locatelli has officially signed a new long-term contract extension with Juventus, securing his future at the club until the summer of 2030. This new agreement replaces his previous deal, which was set to expire in 2028. Reports suggest that the extension includes a wage increase, moving from approximately €3 million per season to around €4 million annually.

The Italian international finalized his new contract on Friday, with the announcement made public later that afternoon. Locatelli joined Juventus from Sassuolo in 2021 for a fee of €37.5 million. Since his arrival, he has made 224 appearances for the club across all competitions, contributing nine goals and 17 assists.

This contract extension follows a series of key renewals for Juventus this season, including those for head coach Luciano Spalletti, star attacker Kenan Yildiz, and versatile midfielder Weston McKennie, whose previous contracts were also nearing their expiration.

Juventus’s Statement on Locatelli’s Extension

“We all remember when Manuel, upon his arrival in 2021, spoke with great emotion about having always been a Juventus fan,” stated CEO Damien Comolli in an official club announcement. “His contract renewal therefore represents the natural continuation of the growth of his leadership on the pitch, of his indomitable Juventus spirit, in complete harmony with the values and ambitions of our Club. It is a further step towards giving solidity and continuity to our sporting project, with an eye to the future and the goal of making the team increasingly competitive.”
