Lautaro Martinez Fully Healed, Set for Inter Comeback

Lautaro Martinez is intensifying his training at Inter, potentially making his return to the starting lineup for the upcoming Serie A match against Roma.

The Inter captain has been sidelined since February 18, when he sustained a calf strain during the Champions League play-off loss to Bodo/Glimt. Given the sensitivity of the muscle, his recovery has been carefully managed, and he has consequently been left out of all recent games.

Recent reports indicate that Lautaro Martinez has steadily increased his workload, combining on-field drills with gym sessions and physiotherapy. Inter is confident in his full recovery, and the current strategy involves progressively reintroducing him to full match fitness after over a month out of competitive play.

Upon his teammates’ return from international duty next week, Martinez is set to rejoin full team training and might even feature in the starting XI for the upcoming match against Roma.

During the captain’s absence, Inter’s lead at the top of the Serie A standings has narrowed to only six points. Since his injury, the team’s performance has been inconsistent, recording only two wins, three draws, and two defeats across all competitions.
