Kyrgios Proposes ‘Battle of the Sexes’ Match Against Sabalenka

Nick Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist, has revealed plans for a potential `Battle of the Sexes` tennis match against Aryna Sabalenka.

Speaking about the idea, Kyrgios mentioned that discussions with Sabalenka are ongoing, aiming for the match to take place later this year, possibly in Hong Kong.

He proposed unique rules for the encounter, including a slightly smaller court for Sabalenka and a single serve, similar to the UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown) format. Kyrgios believes this setup is ideal for modern tennis.

Despite admitting to some nervousness due to Sabalenka`s current top form, the Australian confidently predicted he would win.

The proposed event echoes the famous original `Battle of the Sexes` held on September 20, 1973, in Houston, where Billie Jean King, aged 29, defeated 55-year-old Bobby Riggs with a score of 6/4, 6/3, 6/3.
