Reports indicate that Mateo Retegui has engaged in discussions with Juventus, following prior interest from AC Milan. The Italy international is reportedly keen on returning to Serie A after a single season with Al-Qadisiya, and sources confirm that his father recently held direct talks with Juventus representatives.
Earlier this week, it was also mentioned that one of Retegui’s agents met with AC Milan director Igli Tare, highlighting broader interest in the player.
Juventus’ primary target for their attacking lineup remains Randal Kolo Muani. However, Retegui is also a strong contender, alongside Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee and Chelsea-owned Nicolas Jackson, as the club plans to bolster its front line.
Regardless of Dusan Vlahovic’s potential contract extension, the Serie A giants are determined to secure a new centre-forward for the 2026-27 season.

The club is also open to offers for Jonathan David and Lois Openda. Fenerbahce, under the management of former Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco, has reportedly made an initial inquiry for Openda, signalling their interest in the forward.

Retegui has already returned to Italy to prepare for the Azzurri’s upcoming World Cup play-off matches. The 2024-25 Serie A top-goal scorer has impressively netted five goals in six matches under Gattuso’s guidance.
