World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy shared his thoughts on his imminent return to the ATP Tour following a period of suspension for violating anti-doping rules.
“With less than a month until my return, we are training hard. I hope I can regain my form in time for the start of the clay season. I know it won`t be easy. The first matches will be a tough challenge, but I expect to get back into the rhythm quickly, and then we`ll see,” the Italian was quoted as saying.
Sinner also discussed how the forced break impacted him.
“During the initial part of these three months, I took a break from my usual routine, spent time with family and friends. I tried new things and got to know myself better. I think it was beneficial for me,” he added.
Jannik Sinner is set to make his return to the court at the clay Masters tournament in Rome, which begins on May 7. He will compete in the event as the reigning world number one.
