Jannik Sinner on Pope Francis’ Humorous Remark About a Charity Match

World number one Jannik Sinner commented on a humorous remark attributed to Pope Francis regarding a possible charity tennis match. Pope Francis reportedly joked that he would prefer not to play against Sinner specifically, seemingly because of his surname`s similarity to the English word `sinner`.

When asked about this during a press conference after his third-round match in Rome, Sinner responded, “`Why are you putting me in a difficult position? I know he played as a child, and it`s great for tennis players that the Pope enjoys our sport. We`ll see what happens`.”
